On Saturday, September 19, 2026, more than 800 participants of all ages gathered at Valois Park in Pointe-Claire for the 10th edition of the Course pour la Compassion, raising funds for the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
The event raised a net total of $370,500, bringing the cumulative amount raised since the event first began to nearly $2 million.
The Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence is a non-profit organization that operates what it describes as Canada’s largest free-standing palliative care facility. The residence provides 23 beds at no cost to patients and offers support to their loved ones.
In a press release, the residence’s executive director, Dale Weil, praised the walkers and runners, saying, “The generosity and commitment of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and donors continue to strengthen our ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.”
