On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence will hold its 10th annual Course pour la Compassion to raise funds to provide compassionate palliative care to individuals and their loved ones while ensuring that the residence can continue to offer its services free of charge to those in need.
“Starting at 9 a.m. from Valois Park, the “fun run” offers the chance for people to participate while walking, jogging, or running a 5 km course with friends, neighbours, or even their dogs. Participants can fundraise through their own fundraising page, by starting a team, or by purchasing a memorial sign.”
Opening its doors in 2002, the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence was the first facility of its kind in Montreal and has provided care to over 6,500 residents.
The 2026 goal of the event is to raise $425,000 to support the Residence and ensure that everyone in the community can access free, compassionate palliative care when they need it.
Once participants have finished their "course," they can celebrate their achievement in the Party Zone, with complimentary treats provided by local merchants and sponsors. There will also be face-painting, frozen treats, coffee, and much more!
